The world’s No. 1 football player Cristiano Ronaldo and Russian supermodel Irina Shayk had moved past their romantic relationship that lasted all of five years. They dated from 2010 and broke up early this year when reports came out that Cristiano allegedly cheated on Irina.
Immediately after the split, reports also came out that Cristiano was devastated because she has reportedly loved Irina. However, the statement did not come from him but from his sister.
While Irina never discussed the reasons in public why she and Cristiano broke up, she often takes a subliminal swipe at her former boyfriend or make an indirect diss.
In an interview in June, Irina said that she thought that she found her ideal man already but when he made her feel unhappy, she felt that he was not a man but merely a boy.
Without mentioning the name of anybody, the 29-year-old model who is one of Sports Illustrated most popular swimsuit models, says that men who make women feel unhappy are boys.
She says that her ideal man is faithful, honest, and a gentleman who knows how to treat a woman right. Shayk added that she once felt that she found her ideal man, but it did not turn out that way.
The Victoria’ Secret model also advised that it is best to end a relationship early if it is not going well rather than bear its brunt and continuously sacrifice. She explained that relationships are difficult so it is best for a woman to know what type of man she wants by her side and what his values are or what is important in his life, or whether he is planning something for her in the future.
From all indications, Shayk was alluding to her former boyfriend of five years, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese football sensation.
Coming out in public
Irina’s statements in June that took an indirect swipe at Cristiano stems from reports early that month saying that Chilean Playboy bunny Daniella Chavez already came out in public to tell the whole world that she had sex with the world’s No. 1 football player while he was still dating the Russian supermodel.
And it was not just sex that Daniella disclosed; she actually revealed that she and Ronaldo had an affair in a June report by The Daily Mail.
The outlet quoted an interview by Mexican newspaper Reforma on Chavez who revealed that she got together with Ronaldo in November last year in the US.
She narrated that she and Ronaldo have been initially communicating via e-mail and Skype and while she was to travel for work, the Real Madrid football star invited her to go for a couple of days in the US to fulfil her dream to sleep with the No. 1 football player in the world.
Chavez also bared that Cristiano was very shy at first, but when he built up his confidence, he became quite a man, though somehow still fearful because he was apparently dating Irina then.
She also said that she felt that Cristiano loved her, but the idea was not to show it. Chavez also said that the football star loved her body, liked her face, her breasts, and the fact that he never slept with a Playmate before.
Wants to do his job better
Cristiano Ronaldo refused to dignify the rumors by responding to it so he just resorted to the social media in airing his sentiments about the issue, just one day after the report on the disclosure of Daniella Chavez publicly came out.
In another report by The Daily Mail, Ronaldo was quoted as saying that the press has been saying or publishing trash about him, particularly about him having a girlfriend day by day.
He asked the press who had been harsh on him to leave him alone so that he can do his work on the football field properly. Ronaldo said that the press should not attempt to damage his image because it is not going to happen.
