Hulu is slowly becoming the best streaming service. It is known for rescuing The Mindy Project, and it looks like CEO Mike Hopkins will make this his best year since he came on board in 2013. Hulu is set to launch their streaming bundle in a few months.

According to AD Week, the launch will give Hulu a new interface apart from several new features that would appeal to the subscribers. The new streaming bundle in Hulu will be priced less than $40 and will include some original series as well.

One of the original series will be The Handmaid’s Tale, based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name. The series will see Elisabeth Moss in the lead role. It also stars Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, and Joseph Fiennes. The series is already creating a ripple and will surely make Hulu a winner. Hulu is competing with Netflix, and The Handmaid’s Tale will surely take it a long way.

Hulu has already announced the first trailer for The Handmaid’s Tale. According to The Verge, the teaser shows Elizabeth Moss as Offred, the handmaid. The viewers get a glimpse of the Republic of Gilead. The series is set at a time when the USA became a theocratic country, where women lose their rights.

Women are nothing more than wives, servants, and breeders of the next generation. Elisabeth Moss introduces her character, saying that she had another name, but that along with many other things is now forbidden. Moss’s Offred is shown to have a husband and child,

Atwood wrote her novel in 1985 in response to the increase in religious groups in the 80s. Atwood will be a part of Hulu’s series in the role of the Consulting Producer. The series will have ten episodes and will start airing from 26th April.

Apart from The Handmaid’s Tale, Hulu will also be bringing in The Golden Girls. The show will premiere on the streaming channel from February. The Golden Girls is a very popular sitcom from the 80s, which ended its run back in 1992. However, thanks to Hulu, the show will be back.

According to CNET, Hulu bought the streaming rights to all the seven seasons, and they will start playing from 13th February. The series stars Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, who play the role of retirees Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia. Herb Edelman played the role of Stan, the only man present in the series.

The series shows the girls congregating at their Miami home, where they drink tea while arguing about life and laughing about their new adventures. The adventures see Rose shooting Blanche’s flower vase, Rose fighting with a girl to get her teddy bear or Dorothy playing a popular television game.

The Golden Girls was a highly popular television series. The show was nominated for 68 Emmy Awards, of which they ended up winning 11. Craig Erwich, the Head of Content for Hulu said that acquiring the rights to The Golden Girls was important since this would be the first time that the full series is streaming on a channel.
