Hugh Jackman Talks about Future Roles, Possible Appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse!

Hugh Jackman has been quite busy lately, and he has a lot of work ahead of him too, and while there has been a lot of interest in his main role, his fans have also been curious if they would get to see him making a cameo in “X-Men: Apocalypse” or “Deadpool”. The actor seemed eager to talk about that possibility at first, but quickly changed his mind and said that he can’t reveal anything.

The only thing he had to say about the situation was that he’s close with Reynolds, so there is still some possibility that we might see something happening in this regard. The actor was particularly silent about “Apocalypse”, only saying “Who knows?” when he was asked about the possibility of seeing him in a cameo role in that film.

Jackman revealed that he’s really excited about shooting the final film, even though he didn’t expect to be. He actually feels very enthusiastic about the current situation, but suspects it could be a state of denial. He compared himself to a football player announcing his retirement before playing one last season, but at the same time he added that he’s actually really looking forward to his role in the last film.

He also added that he still has to keep to a strict diet and daily routine in order to maintain himself in an adequate shape for that role, and this has been taking its toll on his life, but he has actually been enjoying the strict regime to some extent. He stated that he would still get to have the whole experience of getting up at 4 in the morning and eating lots of egg whites in omelets as well as steamed chicken.

In the end though, the actor feels “blessed” that he got an opportunity to play the part, and said that he felt like his last performance as Wolverine was one of his two best roles, along with the last “X-Men”, and he’s hoping that he’ll add to that list once he takes part in the new film.

X Men Apocalypse

“Deadpool” is coming out in February, while “X-Men: Apocalypse” is set for some time later in 2016. Then we have “Wolverine 3” in 2017, but the exact date hasn’t been defined yet, and some fans have been actively speculating on when it could happen. It seems that the studio hasn’t actually made any decision in this regard yet, so it’s hard for us to tell – but we certainly wouldn’t pay too much attention to rumors about the exact date yet.
