HTC One M9 Succeeded by One A9 in the Line: Is the New Device Going to Positively Affect the Reputation of the Brand?

The HTC One M8 still has the reputation of one of the best Android phones to hit the market, and it’s not really that strange that the device was so popular – it had a great combination of features at a good price and was a true Android powerhouse that could handle heavier tasks with ease. It wasn’t surprising that its successor, the One M9, was highly anticipated by all fans of the original, and people were expecting the new device to bring some radical upgrades to the line and refresh it properly.

While the M9 was good, it wasn’t perfect – it didn’t quite stir up the storm that the M8 did, and it was mostly swept under the rug after a few weeks. Sure, it was a good phone in general and on its own, but it apparently failed to live up to the expectations that people had for a phone succeeding the M8. And now, HTC are coming out with a new release that should hopefully earn them some positive attention once again.

The new phone is not actually a flagship but is placed slightly lower in the pricing range. It looks like it’s going to be a mid-range device with some more advanced features, and it will also feature a revamped physical design that should give it a lot of popularity among fans of Apple’s devices. There have already been reports that HTC were designing something to please people looking for a device with a prettier exterior, although the One M8 was already pretty good in this regard and didn’t really need a significant change in its appearance.

And it’s also worth noting that the device is not even going to be that low-powered compared to other entries on the Android market, and it should actually be able to handle most tasks with relative ease, judging by its hardware specifications. Those are still just a rumor and we have no idea if there is any truth to it or not, but it definitely does sound like a plausible suggestion.

The device will apparently sport a Snapdragon 620 processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 1080p display. In addition, it’s reportedly going to ship with Android 6.0 right out of the box, which is one of the main features that people have been discussing with regards to the phone lately. This alone could give it a lot of popularity on the market as people are going to be very interested in trying out the new Android version once it’s out, and doing that on a device specifically designed for it is always a better option.

Something else that reporters have been pointing out about the leaks is that they seem to suggest a device that will be much more durable and long-lasting than previous releases by HTC, especially when put under significant physical stress. We don’t know how much HTC could have done in this regard, but there is always potential for improvement in this area when it comes to smartphones.

HTC One M9

Are we going to see HTC reclaiming their glory and releasing a new device that drives up their popularity on the market, or is the A9 going to suffer a similar fate like the M9? It’s hard to tell right now, and we will need to wait for the official unveiling to get an idea of the situation, but the company does have a strong potential to succeed.
