Taiwanese tech company HTC will be launching its next flagship smartphone on March 1 in Barcelona, Spain, one day before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 to be held on May 2 to 5 in the same place.
Less than a week before its official roll out, leaked images of the HTC One M9 are already making the rounds in the internet and the photos do not just show one or two sides of the upcoming smartphone but all angles of it, reports Mashable.
And the internet sites that are releasing these images are not just two or three but so many already that the consistency in the images is already a giveaway that everyone is already looking at the real thing and not a concept design of the new flagship smartphone from HTC.
Based on those leaked images, it also became clear that the HTC One M9 strikingly looks similar to HTC One M8, its predecessor, which means that the Taiwanese tech company did not deviate so much from its design philosophy.
The major difference
If there’s one key difference between the HTC One M9 and the HTC One M8, it is the new 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera in the new flagship smartphone in place of the UltraPixel camera on the HTC One M8.
The leaked images of the upcoming flagship smartphone of HTC also showed that it features a metallic body that will be in at least two different hues of silver/gold and dark grey. The trademark stereo speakers on the front of the HTC flagship smartphone is still maintained in the HTC One M9.
The slight difference is in the location of the power button. The HTC One M9 already has it on the side from the previous top location in the HTC One M8.
Specifications and features
There are just too many leaks already about the specifications and features of the HTC One M9 that it is just a matter for online users to reconcile all the facts and come up with the consistent information from all of them to know which of them are accurate and which are not.
Among these almost confirmed specifications and features of the HTC One M9 are its 5-inch IPS display and full HD resolution similar to HTC One M8, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, a 4-megapixel front-facing camera supported by HTC’s Ultrapixel technology.
The device shall be powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, a 3GB of RAM, and an Andreno 430 GPU. It will also come in 32GB or 64GB built-in storage variants and upon rollout shall have the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on its as mobile operating system, along with a Sense 7.0 universal interface on it.
It is also believed to have a microSD card support, BoomSound speakers, Bluetooth 4.1 and a 2,840mAH lithium battery.
