The HTC One M8 has already found a worthy heir in the One M8 Eye. However, the Taiwanese electronics giant is not satisfied yet and has already come up with the next product in the M class – the One M9.
Although, there is no clear word on the official release date, HTC is likely to launch the device on March next year. The One M8 released in March too and hence experts believe that the company will carry on with the tradition.
HTC normally releases its products a few weeks after MWC, judging by which, the One M9 is likely to release within March 2nd and 5th. The dates were speculated by Christianpost, although, what the HTC officials think of it, is yet to be ascertained.
Frankly, we are yet to gain any official insight into the product, and this is owing to HTC’s strict privacy policies aimed at preventing information from leaking out. However, this strict policy has taken a heavy toll on the HTC One M8 and experts believe that the company will let go off this policy after the device enters the late prototype stage.
The worst part about the HTC One M9 is the 4MP primary lens, as stated in GSMArena. Customers do not care about a 4 or 5MP lens at the moment. Hence, even though many praised HTC for the device’s overall potential and performance, none were appreciative of the camera.
The upcoming HTC One M9 is likely to sport a 5.2-inch display, much like its current generation flagship, although, the official word on it is yet to arrive. HTC is further believed to have installed extra pixel density via their QHD display, although, Full HD display could also be on the cards.
The smartphone is likely to draw power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3 GB of RAM. Initial speculations further claim that the makers could be considering the Snapdragon 810 too! The 810 supports 64-bit frame networking. Hence, is HTC trying to emulate Samsung in their bid to offer 64-bit OS on their upcoming Galaxy S6! Only time can tell.
The HTC One M8 is priced at $650 and experts believe that the upcoming device does not sport a higher price tag. This is good news so far, if only HTC were to confirm it. HTC considered playing with a camera with fewer megapixels in place of a large camera, although, the users have not been too delighted at the proposition.
