HTC One M9: Leaked Images and Information Surface, Promises to be Feature-Rich!

A leaked image, rumored to be of the upcoming flagship from HTC – the One M9 – has surfaced recently. The leaked image showcases a 5.2-inch touch screen display and is codenamed Himka. These details surfaced thanks to the notorious leaks, following which more and more leaked images and information have found their way over to the internet.

Initial speculations suggested that we would not witness an HTC One M9 anytime in the near future, but would get to see an Ace, Prime or an Ultra variant of the same. However, the recent revelations have turned the tides in favor of the M9.

Experts believe that the recent flagship device boasts of QHD display and could sport an updated 5.5-inch screen, unlike the 5.2-inch display that has been leaked. The upcoming flagship might also feature some sound enhancements thanks to Bose.

The front panel of the smartphone as revealed recently on a French website called NO WHERE ELSE, which is known to have revealed leaked images of previous-generation flagship smartphones from HTC. Hence, there is a general feeling among the experts about the authenticity of these claims.

There is a popular word over the internet regarding the HTC One M9 Ultra, a powerful Phablet based on the flagship, although, there is still some time left for the official announcement on it. Considering the current competition in the flagship market, HTC is required to come up with a unique device that stands out from the rest, if the company wants to sell their device.

Rumors further suggest the mention of a Windows powered device from HTC in 2015. Even though this report has got the fans thinking, without the mention of any such possibility on the official news wavelength, the fans are awaiting further confirmations before further speculating on the scenario.

Reports hint at the possibility of an HTC E8 like device from the M9 family and considering the popularity enjoyed by the Windows powered M8, we see no reason why HTC should not repeat their popular strategy. The rumors do not have information on a probable release date or additional features other than the ones already mentioned, which means that the fans need to hold their horses for the moment.

Like previous devices from the company, the HTC One M9 has its own version of the Sense UI, apart from the Android and Windows (probable) OS. We would love to see the HTC One M9 powered by Windows 10. The Windows powered M8 was more battery efficient than its Android powered cousin and fans are hoping for a rerun this time too!
