HTC One E8 vs. Motorola Moto E2: HTC beast versus upcoming budget 4G Motorola!

The HTC One E8 was launched soon after the M8 and surprisingly had greater benchmarks than that of its predecessor while coming at a lower price. It is one of the best devices released by HTC till date. It is among of the premium line of devices launched by HTC in 2014.

On the other hand, the American Smartphone Maker, Motorola wishes to launch a 4G enabled handset next year, in India. Motorola wishes to make it to the Top 3 Smartphone makers chart by 2015, and this upcoming handset could pave the way. Let us see how the HTC One E8 fares against the rumored upcoming Motorola Moto E2.

The HTC One E8 launched with an optional Dual-SIM making use of Nano-SIM and dual-standby options. The E8 has an excellent display featuring a Super LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. It has a 5.0inch full HD 1080×1920 pixels display with a 441ppi pixel density. It supports Multi-touch input and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and makes use of the HTC Sense UI 6.0 user interface. Presently, it runs on the Android v4.4.2 Operating System.

The Motorola Moto E2 will be a 4G enabled handset, and the screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Coming to the user interface, Motorola is well-known for providing a stock Android experience. Hence, we can be sure that it will launch with the latest version of Android v5.0 Lollipop OS with a smooth stock Android experience. Motorola will likely pose a serious threat in India to the domestic manufacturers with their 4G-enabled handset.

According to some of the rumors, we can expect a similar hardware like the Moto G. Hence, it will probably feature a 5MP-8MP rear shooter with autofocus, LED flash and other basic camera features. The HTC One E8 uses a 13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels, autofocus, and LED flash. Other features include Geo-tagging, Panorama, HDR, face-detection along with others.

Under the hood, The HTC One E8 has a Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801 chipset working on the Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU architecture, similar to that of the flagship Sony Xperia Z3. The Adreno 330 GPU churns out a superior visual performance. If we can rely on the rumored specifications of the Motorola Moto E2, it will supposedly have a Snapdragon 400 SoC processor with 1GB of RAM.

Since it will be a budget smartphone, we can expect it to have an Adreno 305 GPU. With Motorola incorporating a dual-SIM capability in their budget devices, we can be sure that the E2 will have dual-SIM support as well. Considering all aspects, the HTC One E8 is a superior device in this comparison.
