HTC One A9 Is Set to Expand Company’s Reach on the Market, Grabbing New Positions!

HTC are generally known for high-end Android devices, but it looks like the company might be planning to expand their reach and establish positions in other market segments in order to become more familiar to people looking for devices that aren’t so expensive, and yet still offer a nice combination of features. The next one in their line-up is the HTC One A9, expected to arrive in about a week, and while the device isn’t going to be as powerful as the more advanced flagships by the company, it should definitely be a good addition to the Android market and be noticed by many people, even those who don’t traditionally follow Android phones so actively.

The phone is reportedly strongly inspired by Apple’s iPhone, at least in some of its design elements, and it’s aiming to offer a more accessible device to people who want a good Android experience in their pockets but don’t want to pay that much for it. As we know, HTC are one of the companies out there who really know how to do the most with their hardware, so we don’t doubt that they would be able to pull that off. We’re just hoping that they are going to handle the balance between price and features in an appropriate way, because they definitely can’t get away with charging too much for this phone.

Its official release date is set for October 20, and even though HTC are trying to be a bit secretive about their work on this device, some leaks of it have given us a lot of insight into its design while people are also talking about the expected specifications.

It will feature various advanced design elements such as a fingerprint sensor and a stylish exterior meant to grab the eye very easily, and it will have an overall curved form factor, something that’s more or less typical for HTC and most of their phones. The company doesn’t seem to like sharp edges for the most part, and they are usually known for making their phones somewhat round and curvy.

This has become a bit of a staple in their designs and most people familiar with their phones can usually recognize them easily compared to devices by competitors, which has resulted in a lot of popularity for HTC on the market. Recognition is important, and we don’t doubt that the upcoming One A9 is going to immediately attract the attention of those who are already acquainted with HTC and know how the company producers their phones in general.

Not much has been specified about the hardware details of the phone, but it’s expected to come with a 13 megapixel camera with a special lens capable of capturing more detailed, advanced images even in poorly lit conditions. Of course, people shouldn’t expect miracles from the camera considering that this will be a budget phone, but it should still be a relatively good model that offers nice picture quality overall.

Other than that, we expect some moderately powerful hardware but nothing too special, such as an older generation Snapdragon processor and 2-3 GB of RAM. Knowing that it will likely use HTC’s special UI though, we expect that the company would want to give it a slightly better combination of features in order to make it run smoothly and offer a lag-free experience while zipping through Android.
