That’s it on the unofficial front – in the meantime, those who want to get a “legitimate” update for their Android version are going to have to wait for the release from HTC, but we have no idea when that is supposed to arrive.
As soon as the company is ready to roll out the new update though, that should be all over the Web and people will spread the rumor quite fast, so those who’re waiting for it won’t have to scout for news too actively, it will be obvious once the update has arrived.
Is it going to bring any other improvements apart from HTC’s traditionally smooth UI? We don’t know, but the company is seemingly trying to become a more individual player on the Android market recently, developing their own style and coming up with some creative design ideas.
The release of the One M9 undermined their popularity a little bit, but they seem to be looking straight ahead at this point, ready to make more releases that should make up for the way they handled the M9. Hopefully, the next flagship phone we see by the company is going to live up to the expectations of fans and be a truly amazing experience.
HTC is trying to push 5.1 update coz the 5.0.2 update was one of the worst update which had more bugs for desire 816.
lollipop damaged my phone, i hate htc, i hate android! I dont understand why they even bothered updating the 816 if it cant support the software, or even have enough space. out of my 8gb of space, 6gb is being used by the software. I can’t even download any new apps, the updates to the stock apps have drained my storage completely. It just makes my blood boil.
and not to mention the fact that it has ruined the camera too. the 816 used to take amazing crystal clear photos, now they are noisy and washed out. this phone is a nightmare. I am never using htc ever again, or android.
Need update
