HTC has been one of the fastest growing smartphone companies in terms of popularity in the small guy category over the last 5 years or more. The company was trying so hard to make a phone that anyone would buy that the company was almost left in the dark completely a few years ago. Then came along the HTC One series and it was that high end smartphone that replenished the confidence in the company and the consumers that buy the smartphones they make.
Now that HTC has a high end phone that can compete with the likes of Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s S-series, it is time to see if they can sneak into the middle range and take on some of the most popular phones there. One of those phones, which has been quite a hot seller for a couple years now is the Moto G from Motorola. The mid-range smartphone has specs that are just good enough to bring the consumers and the price tag to match. It also has very little, comparable competition.
That is where the HTC Desire 626 comes into play. The phone is going to hit the mid-range market like a bomb and as long as the LTE support is there, it might even take over where the Moto G left off. Rumored for the last month or so, the HTC Desire 626 has finally been released and it has already been compared to the iPhone 5C by some.
If you see the images that have been posted online, the HTC Desire 626 looks very smooth and clean on the back side with a nice front end that obviously contains dual speakers, which is a nice feature. The HTC Desire 626 offers consumers a 5-inch touch screen display and 1280×720 resolution. The processor is a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 and that gets paired up with just 1GB of RAM. If you are wondering about the camera, the back side features a 13MP option, while the selfie-takers will love the 5MP option facing the front.
Those that purchase the HTC Desire 626, will also get a whopping 16GB of internal memory, a below average 2,000mAh battery and 4G LTE support. With all of those awesome features, you might expect that the HTC Desire 626 would come with a price tag that reads more than $250, but that is not the case. There is no indication that the HTC Desire 626 will be available in the United States, but if it does show up here, it will be priced around the $190 to $200 range.

Hey Motorola!!!! Where’s the Lollipop you promised for my Moto G??? My Moto G (2013) has been online (wifi) continuously since you promised the Moto G (2013) Lollipop upgrade. Still tells me Android 4.4.4 is the most current version. Who am I to believe, you or my phone? I would prefer it to be you.
Microsoft does better at distributing updates and that is not setting the bar very high at all.
