HTC Bounces Back Big Time with HTC 10; Flagship Phone Proves Itself as a Worthy Competitor

Another interesting feature of the HTC 10 is its AirPlay compatibility—meaning users can stream from the device to an Apple TV or MacBook, the first time an Android device has been able to do so.

Early reviews on the phone suggest that users should expect a fair quality of audio when streaming while using the Airplay compatibility feature.

HTC 10 is currently available for pre-order on the HTC Store Unlocked for $699. The device is expected to hit stores by late April or early May. It will soon be available on Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

The HTC 10 is available in 3 color options—Carbon Gray, Topaz Gold, and Glacier Silver.

Gospel Herald reports that HTC’s recent flagship phones have drawn good reviews in the past, but it’s had trouble translating those into sales.

Wired notes that the Taiwanese phone manufacturer used to rule the smartphone world but was unable to sustain it as other tech companies upped their design game and HTC didn’t keep up.

The company doesn’t currently rank as one of the top five phone manufacturers worldwide, according to the market researcher firm Gartner.

However, with the HTC 10, the company is expected to bounce back with its sales as the device proves to be a worthy competitor.
