Meanwhile, actor Mahershala Ali, who plays the role of Remy Danton in “House of Cards” shall no longer be part of the show when Season 5 premiere early next year.
In a recent interview, the 42-year-old actor said that his time with the franchise is over so he has to move on. He also wanted to pursue more in his profession so his experience as one of the major characters in “House of Cards” helped mold him to become a better actor.
He is also thankful for “House of Cards” because it opened up plenty of acting assignments for him especially.
Ali shall soon be joining the cast of a new Netflix series called “Luke Cage” where he will be starring alongside Mike Colter.
Incidentally, the rumors about the upcoming Season 5 of “House of Cards” on Netflix are also getting weirder as of late.
While the initial speculations were fairly consistent in saying that Claire Underwood shall emerge to become the first female president of the US and take over from her husband Frank Underwood the presidency, the latest rumors are now saying that Frank may actually find a new lover or fling in the upcoming fifth season of “House of Cards.”
