‘House of Cards’ Season 4 to Feature Neve Campbell as Part of the Show’s New Power Couple

While Season 4 of the American political drama TV series “House of Cards” will air on Netflix around February or March next year yet, rumors about its upcoming plotlines, new cast of characters, and other key details have been making the rounds on the internet.

In fact, the rumors and speculations are so plenty that one would think that the show is about to air in a few weeks or months time. But it is not; the series is still six to seven months away from airing on the streaming service. But filming has been underway for quite some time now that is why leaks are coming out on the internet too.

What is confirmed at this point is that after the blowout breakup of Frank and Claire Underwood, it is expected that Season 4 will be more vicious than the past three seasons of the series combined.

It was rumored that Claire Underwood would work on undermining Frank’s credibility and reputation as President of the United States and she will run against him during the election.

There have been reports that Neve Campbell will be coming in to join the cast members of “House of Cards” Season 4. While there are still no concrete details on Neve’s role in the series, Christian Today got wind of information that she will be taking on the role as the other half of the new power couple in the series.

There are reports that Neve Campbell and her partner may be pitted against the show’s original power couple of Frank and Claire Underwood, notes Enstarz too.

A closer look into the details

However, perusing into the existing plotline of the show based on its Season 3 finale, Frank and Claire Underwood have called it quits and as such, there is no power couple when Season 4 of the series is aired.

Unless the first episode of Season 4 focuses on Frank and Claire working things out between themselves and both agreeing to give their relationship another shot, there is no power couple to speak of. But that will be contrary to previous reports, rumors, and speculations about the upcoming plotline of the show where Claire shall work on plotting the downfall of Frank from power.

So if Neve Campbell will be coming in as one-half of a young power couple, then their pair will not be contending with anybody in the show at all.

The other take on Neve Campbell’s role and her power couple part is that she may be playing as the young Claire and her partner will be the young Frank. With that being said, it is possible that the series may have some sort of flashbacks and show the former First Couple’s humble beginnings.

But all these are speculations at this point and unless the showrunners or anybody from the cast members confirm any of these reports or rumors, everything should be taken with a grain of salt.

More machinations and manipulations

Based on the split of Frank and Claire in the Season 3 finale, fans expect more machinations and manipulations as they will figuratively go at each other’s throats in the race for the US presidency. Frank will be vying for re-election even as Claire gears to run against her former husband.

Show creator and executive producer Michael Dobbs disclosed that there will be much more wickedness in the upcoming Season 4 of “House of Cards.”

Dobbs disclosed that fans of the show will get to see some great acting and great dialogues that will surely leave them with a sense of wanting to see more of the episodes of the show. He attributes that the show has become so much compelling because of its great writers and directors.

While Dobbs did not reveal anything about the two main characters of the show – Frank and Claire Underwood – there have been more than enough reports in the internet these days on how the rift between the President and his former First Lady will play out in Season 4 of “House of Cards.”

  1. Writers that can make you forgive and root for a character that throws a young girl into a train have talent. Great series very slick and I think dives into a world few would question could reflect a real glimps into the powers that be.
