House of Cards Season 4 to Feature a Serious Power Struggle between the Former Couple!

Things have been getting quite odd in “House of Cards”, as the show is moving in a very dramatic direction. The last season ended on a negative note, and now the split of the couple of Frank and Claire Underwood is likely going to have some harsh effects on the plot in the new season 4. The most prominent current rumors indicate that the two are not only going to add some distance between each other, but they’re also going to engage in a dramatic power struggle for the top position.

They used to be a very well fitting couple, both aiming at the same thing and willing to help each other out to get it. But in the end, they both got blinded by power and their relationship quickly deteriorated to the point of splitting up. That’s how the show left off after its season 3 finale, as Claire said goodbye to Frank and the two are now expected to start their official divorce in the beginning of season 4.

The new season will start airing in the spring of 2016 according to the current schedule, and it’s expected to bring a lot of drama to the table. The two are going to be very nasty to each other, exploiting the knowledge they have from their relationship to really dig under each other’s feet and cause problems.

We don’t know how far this will go, but so far we’ve seen that the two of them – Frank especially – are capable of quite a lot when they are trying to reach their goals. Now, Claire will be running for presidency along with Frank, and that battle will be very fierce and dramatic. We have no idea who is going to win in the end, and it’s entirely possible that the answer could be something surprising, not even one of the two characters.

It would be in the style of the show after all, but so far we haven’t heard any specific rumors about the outcome of the ongoing struggle between the two characters. Of course, this is pretty much the most interesting point of the new season so it makes sense that the producers would want to keep it a secret as much as possible.

House Of Cards Season 4

It’s interesting to note that the new season will air at the same time as the upcoming US presidential elections, and that could add to its viewer numbers quite well. Whether or not this could also have some implications on the actual elections, we can’t really say but we wouldn’t go that far.
