The plot for Netflix’s upcoming series House of Cards Season 3 is well hidden by the creators. The fans of the series are desperately trying to unearth any new snippet that they can lay their hands on.
There has been no official word, but fans believe that House of Cards Season 3 will be filmed in Washington D.C in real, for the first time. The previous seasons were shot in Maryland to keep the plot line under wrap, but this season, some of the major government scenes will be shot in the real world location. The political series that stars Kevin Spacey as the President of the United States is all set to heighten the drama in the new season.
House of Cards has never been very rigid in revealing the cast members before the start of the season. There are rumours stating that Jenna Stern – the actress from Law & Order – is set to make an appearance in House of Cards Season 3.
Although, her character is still unnamed, it is believed that she will have an important role to play in the ensuing drama in season 3. Stern has had some impressive and powerful roles in Law & Order, Criminal Intent and Special Victims Unit. It is believed she will have the same in this series as well.
Other actors speculated to be a part of House of Cards Season 3, are Kim Dickens and members of the Russian punk rock group Pussy Riot. Kim Dickens will be starring in a recurring role. Dickens has gained popularity as Detective Rhonda Boney in the film Gone Girl.
House of Cards Season 3 might also star Rachel Brosnahan as Rachel Posner. Posner might come in for Season 3 as there are many loose ends that have been left in the previous seasons. Posner can be a big threat to Spacey’s Underwood, and this will give the story an interesting turn.
The original BBC House of Cards has Underwood’s counterpart, Francis Urquhart assassinated by orders from his wife. Does the Netflix-adapted series follow the same suit with Claire Underwood eliminating Frank Underwood? Fans have to wait and watch what is in store because Claire Underwood’s character seems capable enough to face such an act.
House of Cards Season 2 showed that Underwood has gotten rid of his enemies in the country. With the United States now under his control, the action in House of Cards Season 3 is likely to focus on Russia.
