‘Horrible Bosses’ Actress Jennifer Aniston Officially Makes Justin Theroux Her Husband

Four years on their solid relationship, three of which were on engagement status, Jennifer Aniston, and Justin Theroux finally tied the knot in secret ceremonies held recently. People.com got the scoop that the pair exchanged I Do’s in a private ceremony on August 5 at their Bel Air Mansion in California.

The couple exchanged vows in front of more than 75 surprised guests, as most of them had no idea they were in for a nuptial affair. According to US Weekly, guests were told that the event was for Justin’s birthday party. The “Tropic Thunder” screenwriter turns 44 on August 10 which coincidentally is also the date of the couple’s engagement anniversary.

According to reports, guests were not aware at all that an intimate backyard wedding was bound to happen that day as the couple usually throws a party around this time of the year. It was apparently the perfect cover-up for the duo who wanted to surprise everyone with their brilliant plan of getting hitched. Aniston was reported to be hands-on about all the details and has made her wedding plans her best-kept secret yet as a few of her closest friends and family knew about the real celebration. Reports claim that staff phones were even confiscated to make sure that the top-secret wedding will remain covert.

TMZ reported that a huge shed was built over the past week to conceal what was really going on at the couple’s mansion and that no one was allowed to park near the area. Judging by the amount of secrecy going on, the outlet had a hint that something was up when they spotted a wedding-themed cake and two puppet caricatures earlier that day. And when they spotted an actual pastor with a bible in hand walking into the house, it was pretty much a no-brainer for them that there was not going to be a birthday party that day.

Representatives and some guests of the couple did not immediately responded to the entertainment press’ requests for comments. TMZ was one of the first websites to post photos of the big day including images of a stage, an outdoor dance floor, and dining tables.

Sadly, Jennifer’s parents weren’t in attendance despite the bride’s reconciliation with her mom last year after a long-standing rift. Just like Rachel and Monica in their hit TV comedy series “Friends,” the actress’ longtime friend and co-star Courteney Cox served as maid of honor while Justin’s good pal and tattoo artist Scott Campbell served as best man.

Also in attendance were Aniston and Cox “Friends” co-star Lisa Kudrow, her “Horrible Bosses” co-star Jason Bateman, Chelsea Handler, Will Arnett, Tobey Maguire, Jennifer Meyer, Jimmy Kimmel, Lake Bell, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, and Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. People Magazine narrates that the couple’s wedding rings were designed by their pal Jennifer Meyer.

The nuptial is the first marriage for Theroux and the second for Aniston. The 46-year-old “Friends” alum married Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt in 2000, but the relationship ended in a highly-publicized divorce 10 years later. Meanwhile, the 43-year-old “Rock of Ages” actor was in a relationship with stylist Heidi Bivens for 14 years until they called it quits in 2011.

Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston

The newlyweds first met while working together for the film “Wanderlust” in 2011. They announced their engagement in 2012 and purchased their $22M mansion in an exclusive hilltop neighborhood in Los Angeles. A day after their wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Theroux were spotted boarding a private jet in Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles. The twosome is currently in Bora Bora for their honeymoon with travel buddies including Aniston’s “Horrible Bosses” co-star Bateman, Handler, and Cox.

The wedding came as a surprise as the lovebirds were busy working, with Theroux on his HBO series “The Leftovers” and Aniston on her upcoming comedy film “Gary Marshall,” and seemed too occupied to have the time to plan their wedding day.
