Most of the scenes of “Homeland” Season 6 shall be filmed in the Big Apple but there will also be some gripping scenes in Abu Dhabi and Morocco.
“Homeland” Season 6 shall also have a minor casting change and it shall involve Frannie Mathison, the daughter of lead protagonist Carrie Mathison.
Frannie is the daughter of Carrie with Nicholas Brody, played by Damian Lewis, who was publicly executed in the third season of “Homeland.”
Germany-based twins Luna and Lotta Pfitzer previously swapped off to portray the character in the fourth and fifth seasons of the hit TV series. According to the report, the showrunners opted to tap a slightly older US-based child actress for the role in the upcoming Season 6 for production convenience.
It was the sighting of Claire Danes during the filming of “Homeland” Season 6 in New York City recently that confirmed that Frannie would be replaced by another actress in the TV series, still a child but an older one.
The young girl who was cast on “Homeland” still has that signature strawberry blonde hair she supposedly inherited from her father. She and Claire Danes were acting out scenes that depicted Carrie Mathison as an involved parent. It looked like mother and child are getting along well and living a typical New York life.
