It was further revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that Happich will become Mathison’s new love interest in the upcoming season after the lead character’s partner, Nicholas Brody, was killed in Season 3.
However, despite having a new blood in the show, the regular cast of the series will return to join the action of the latest season. Those who will return, aside from Danes and Patinkin, are F. Murray Abraham and Rupert Friend.
Season 5 premier
Although there is no specific date yet for the release date of the fifth season of the award-winning drama series, a teaser on “Homeland” was already published in YouTube on July 9. According to reports, the upcoming season will be shown in Showtime this fall.
Last year, Mirror cited that the fifth season will have its usual 12 episodes just like the number of episodes released for each past season of the drama series.
With the drop in viewership for the last season, which only received an average of 1.65 million viewers, according to TV Series Finale, the whole “Homeland” team will surely do all they can to please both the fans and critics for its Season 5.
