It could be that Carrie is scouting out the area for something, or she’s using the sniper as a surveillance tool – as unconventional as it may be as one. In addition, this might be a part of some game that she’s playing in order to deceive the people coming after her.
After all, we wouldn’t put it past her character to have some deep game running behind the scenes of her own, something that neither the CIA nor her new German colleagues are aware of. Carrie is inventive and resourceful, and she always manages to come up with creative ways to get out of different situations.
All of this has been leading up to a very interesting season 5, one that could possibly shake up the foundations of the show significantly and turn it into an even more amazing production than it already was.
With so many fans watching it closely, “Homeland” has a lot of potential to evolve further in its new season, and hopefully the producers are going to take the full opportunity to do that and expand the show in every direction they can. We’re going to find out soon, once season 5 rolls around, and until then, we expect to see even more speculation about the upcoming episodes on discussion boards around the Internet.
