The network did reveal an official description of the fifth season that stated it was taking place “two year after” Carrie messed up as the station chief in Islamabad. Carrie finds herself in Berlin as sort of a personal exile as she tries to forget about the last few years of her life in the CIA.
There is plenty of speculation that Quinn will be killed off quickly in this season as he was set to leave for Syria at the end of last season. Those that believe he will not be killed off report that the fifth season is two years later and that should be enough proof that he character is going to remain a permanent one with the show.
The show has been nominated for many awards including the Peabody Award back in 2012 and received nine nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards, where it got six awards out of those nominations.
