Hillary Clinton Proud of Beyonce’s Support on Democrats’ Presidential Campaign

Getting the support of Queen Bey on a political campaign is a surefire way of kickstarting a presidential ambition and Hillary Clinton seems to be basking on it as song diva Beyonce Knowles openly showed her support to the Democrats’ fundraiser recently.

On May 15, Hillary Clinton posted on her Twitter account an image of Beyonce publicly showing her support for the former Secretary of State’s presidential campaign for next year’s election. Clinton captioned the image by citing that “Say you’ll Bey on Team Hillary 2016.”

Beyonce along with other music celebrities Sharon Osbourne and Meghan Trainor recently attended a fundraiser co-hosted by known Democrats supporter L.A. Reid in Manhattan, New York on May 13, notes The Hill.

L.A. Reid is the chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment’s Epic Records whose labels Beyonce and the others carry.

Reid posted on his Twitter account an image of him sort of introducing Hillary Clinton during the event. He captioned it by saying that there is no need for people to be idealistic when they already know what works, obviously alluding to the well-rounded experience of Hillary as a former First Lady and Secretary of State of the US.

$1 million fundraisers

The Reid fundraiser was just one of the three $2,700-per-attendee events that the Democrats are hosting in the next few weeks wherein Hillary Clinton is expected to get a windfall of $1 million.

The fundraisers are also meant to increase the coffers of the Democrats to be able to intensify Clinton’s political machinery when campaign period for the presidential election officially begins.

It can be recalled that Beyonce and rapper-husband Jay Z have also hosted fundraisers for President Barrack Obama’s presidential reelection bid during his 2012 campaign.

Beyonce has likewise appeared at events for both of Obama’s presidential inaugurations in the White House on 2008 and 2012.

A solid combination

One of the millions of fans of the “Single Ladies” singer have encouraged Queen Bey to team up with Hillary Clinton in 2016, urging her to run for the vice presidency of the US, although it is just too remote a possibility for the song diva.

The fan who is Laurel Kattie Sittig, a 29-year-old editor at an online photography gear store and a resident of Chicago, believes that both Hillary and Beyonce are two very powerful and distinct women who should be given an opportunity to lead the US.

One comment

  1. Why shouldn’t Beyonce endorse Hillary Clinton? Beyonce and her husband Jay Z are together worth over one billion dollars. As a member of the billionaire class, Beyonce will benefit from Clinton being in the White House.
But the people – including the ones who are deep in debt from school and can’t afford a house – will benefit from Bernie Sanders in the White House. If the majority of Americans stop to think about who would benefit them in the White House – they’ll vote for Sanders.
