High-End Samsung Galaxy Note Edge not Coming until December 12 in the UK!

Samsung have always had a habit of innovating in the Android market, and their Galaxy line has seen several devices that tried taking the platform in a new direction. The Galaxy Note Edge is the manufacturer’s latest offering, aimed at customers who need a high-end device with a lot of power under the hood. The phone also takes an interesting approach to its physical design, with a curved screen and a stylus (which is fully supported by the apps bundled with the OS).

However, those who want to get their hands on a Galaxy Note Edge in the UK will now have to wait until December 12, as the company has just announced a delay in the shipping. In fact, December 12 is when stores will start stocking up on the new device, so it’s not clear how good the overall availability will be on that particular day. It’s also not clear why the company has decided to delay the release of their new phone, as they haven’t given any specific reasons so far.

It should also be noted that Samsung were originally planning to skip certain markets, such as Germany, but customers managed to change the company’s decision by raising their voices. The reasons for Samsung’s original decision to skip Germany are also not quite clear, although the company initially stated that they had a very precisely developed plan for the device’s release, and Germany did not align with that.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will be one of the most powerful Android phones on the market once it comes out, with a lightning fast 2.7 GHz quad-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage space, and a heavy-duty 3,000 mAh battery. It’s also quite large in size, with a 5.6” screen (running at a high resolution, naturally).

In addition, the phone comes with various pre-loaded apps that can make full use of the stylus. Some smartphone users are still a bit reluctant to use a stylus with their devices, which is a bit ironic since this was the original dominating design for touchscreen handhelds. While navigating with just the fingers can definitely feel more comfortable, especially for quick operations, a stylus can offer significantly better precision, including the possibility for handwritten notes, drawing, as well as various other special features supported by the modified operating system. The device also has a screen on the edge of the phone, which offers some extra features not found in a standard “candy bar” phone design. Some critics have been claiming this to be a gimmick without much practical use, while others have been praising the innovative idea.
