The depiction of action scenes has been the subject of particular praise from some fans, as the producers of “Hawaii Five-O” have some interesting ideas in this regard.
For example, the show has a more realistic approach to presenting major breaching scenes. Unlike most police procedurals which would typically send in a couple of guys with pistols against a whole group of baddies, “Hawaii Five-O” has actually incorporated the idea of needing heavy backup multiple times.
This has also resulted in each character having their own unique place in the team, performing a task that no one else can do as well. Because of this, many fans see the potential removal of Steve McGarrett as a huge disaster waiting to happen.
If the producers aren’t actually planning to end the show after this season, they probably will find themselves forced to if it’s true that they’re taking McGarrett out. The current tone of discussions among fans has been quite negative with regards to this possible development, and it seems like many people are going to give up on “Hawaii Five-O” if the show does move in that direction. But in the end, let’s not forget that this is just a rumor, and it’s not guaranteed that we’re going to see McGarrett exit the stage. If that does happen, it will at least be interesting to follow what fans are saying about the situation.
Hopefully this is just rumour to pick up on viewers. If so, it’s a crappy way to do it, and will only fly once. Do it again, and you’ll lose viewers, however you “rumour” it.
And of course, lose Steve, lose all your viewers. I know it’s a team, but Steve is “the man” and without the man, you have no show.
