Considering the unique and original angle of “Haters Back Off” though, we don’t expect this to happen anytime soon. The people behind the show have made it clear that they have their own ideas and plans, and they are not changing them for anybody, whether fans like that or not.
Some fans have pointed out that the show can be seen as a clever parallel analogy to some current events in social media and entertainment in general. And while Ballinger and the rest of the crew haven’t addressed this directly yet, there does seem to be something true in those claims.
It will become more obvious in season 2 if that’s the case or not, and we also expect to see a preview for the show’s new episodes in a month or two that will give us a glimpse into what we can expect.
Is Miranda finally going to face the consequences of her personality changes, or is she going to push even farther in the same direction? It makes sense to expect the latter, but some humbling moments would definitely be interesting to see for her character. And it also wouldn’t be a surprising development, given the show’s tendency to sometimes pull the rug from under its characters in the most unexpected ways.
