Most rumors about the future of “Hart of Dixie” right now aren’t very good, as there are lots of talks about the show potentially being cancelled. However, the show’s fans are still hopeful that they’ll get to see another season, and their hopes were recently brought up by news that the show’s ratings have been increasing. There is apparently a lot of new interest in the production lately – but will it be enough to save the show?
Meanwhile, the finale for the current season will see Zoe Hart delivering a baby boy, while she’s still trying to do something good with her relationship together with Wade. The baby comes a bit earlier than the two were expecting, which could potentially complicate things – it’s implied that Zoe will actually enter labor right as she’s in the middle of trying to resolve issues with Wade, so it’s curious how this will play out.
The producers of “Hart of Dixie” certainly know how to introduce interesting and unique plot twists that keep their fans on edge, and it looks like they’re stepping this up even further for the finale of the current season. We don’t know if they will end the season with any cliffhangers, but it may be a smart move if it gives them a shot at a fifth season.
We’ll also see another couple trying to get through a difficult situation, George and Annabeth – they’ve been having issues pretty much since they’ve been together, and they’ve gotten used to dealing with those problems as they arise, but now they will apparently have to make a “big decision”, as stated in the episode preview.
It’s worth noting that the promotional video for the finale specifically refers to it as a “season 4 finale” and doesn’t say anything about concluding the series, which has given fans some hope that it might really not be the last season of the show. Of course, it could just be a poor choice of words from the producers, or they could have deliberately worded it like that in order to leave open the possibility of continuing the show, even if they don’t know if they’ll get a new contract yet.
“Hart of Dixie” has certainly had a great run, and it’s managed to bring in some new viewers lately, so the show definitely deserves another season. It may need some changes in order to make it more appealing to a wider audience, but even as it stands now, it has a good number of people following it closely who would readily jump at the chance to watch a whole new season.
I’m so sad. If this was the last show, the writers did an outstanding job. I laughed and cried, but still my heart is longing to see another season. I’ve never seen a show this good cancelled, before. I think the ratings were wrong, because I just recently discovered the show on Netflix and Hulu. I never had access to CW. If Hart of Dixie was on a more well known station, it would be a lot more popular, in my opinion. I loved all of the characters and the ability they had to make you feel like a cousin, who like Zoey, had just found their long lost family.I will still hold on to my hopes that something can be done to continue the show, even if it means moving to another affiliate. ❤❤❤
