The recent pronouncement by Harry Styles that if he is given the opportunity, he would like to leave One Direction in style already shows an ominous future for the world’s most popular boy band.
It is almost certain that the British-Irish boy band will be breaking up when its contractual obligations end in the latter part of 2015.
Apparently, Harry Styles made that statement in the aftermath of the recent move of Zayn Malik to just simply leave the stage while the group were performing in Perth Australia, reports Yahoo! News.
The fans were shocked with Zayn Malik’s abrupt stunt but Niall Horan came to the rescue of his bandmate by saying that Zayn was just sick. But it was not the case as Zayn was later on seen with friend Wiz Khalifa.
Just a couple of days ago, there were also reports that Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson flubbed the lyrics of One Directon’s “Stockholm Syndrome” song while performing on stage during the group’s concert tour in Osaka, Japan.
The last straw
The flubbing of the lyrics in Japan was forgiveable for Harry so he just let it slide. But the abrupt walking away off the stage without saying anything at all, annoyed Harry that he considered it the last straw in his growingly- thin patience with Zayn Malik.
A source close to Harry Styles disclosed to a British publication that the most popular among the One Direction band members does not want to turn his back on his group. However, Zayn Malik’s behaviour in Perth was a big issue for Harry.
The source also added that Harry Styles wanted to leave the group on a high note and not when they are already starting to turn off and disappoint fans or when they are already drifting out of the spotlight.
Over the last couple of months, Harry has been very busy doing a lot of things outside of the gigs of 1D, which only showed that Styles is already panning his life beyond their group.
Harry has been writing songs with other musicians of late including with “All About the Bass” singer Meghan Trainor and Garry Lightbody of the group Snow Patrol.
A sad ending
It would really be a sad ending for One Direction if they break up on such short notice but it seems that the only way for each of them to move forward is to take on different paths.
One Direction was formed back in 2010 when they auditioned individually for “The X Factor” UK but Simon Cromwell, one of the judges for the talent search, decided to form them instead as a group and signed them to his record label Syco.
In addition to Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, the other two members of 1D are Niall Horan and Liam Payne.
Zayn Malik has been the most troublesome member of One Direction. There were actually rumors that Zayn was into drugs and a video was released last year showing him and Louis Tomlinson smoking pot and also talking about drugs.

If One Direction has any sense & I believe they personally do, especially Malik who is highly intelligent, they will not break up. They will mature with their audience & mature their music ~ it’s already happening. They will take a break from touring & spend some more time relaxing & in the studio.
Members should be allowed some freedom on personal projects. A less gruelling tour schedule can then follow. They are a very hard working band & richly deserve their success. Touring is where the money is but they need to guard against burnout.
1D should not follow conventional wisdom & break up. They have already
broken the mould of convention.
They should not be pigeonholed into the typical boy band life cycle. They
are better & deeper than that.
Simon has now opened the door for this sensible & win/win scenario.
I think the boys have a great taste of the performance in front of the huge crowds and I also think about Zayn mialk to come back and never leave the band permsion to leave and the boys need to be brave about the break up
and speaking to the fans a great singing voices and they never leave each other they went to perth once and I saw them perform they were awesome
and I think they should come back to Perth again in 2017. I also think about the music they produce.
