Halo Wars 2 Has the Potential to Change How Gamers See RTS on Consoles, Will It Succeed? Let’s See

There’s still plenty of time to go before we actually see the game though, so we expect to get some more information about it as its development moves forward. 343 Industries know their community very well, and they know the importance of maintaining their touch with their fans until the game is out (and afterwards), so they will probably be pretty active on the marketing front in general.

Could we see “Halo” exploring other genres as well? The sky is the limit with this franchise right now, as it not only has various pieces already in place to make it suitable for conversion to other gameplay styles, but it also enjoys a lot of popularity from all sides of the market.

It’s a brand name with a lot of history at this point, and even gamers who haven’t actually played a “Halo” game know it and associate it with quality. It doesn’t even take a lot of effort for neither the developer nor the publisher to maintain that reputation at this point, and all they have to do is hold the line they’ve established.

On the other hand, Microsoft have been utilizing the franchise in their own marketing quite effectively, and we expect that they will keep offering their support for a long time in the future too. After all, with so many people actively waiting for not only “Halo Wars 2” but any kind of future “Halo” game in general, it makes perfect sense to keep up the development pace as high as possible.
