Set to be a game changer, the removal of the split-screen caused a lot of controversy with loyal gamers, some event signing a petition to bring the feature back. Fans who grew up playing the popular video game series have pointed out that the split-screen feature is the true essence of the game and removing it is the worst decision that the game developers has ever made.
One ardent gamer even stated that with the split-screen feature’s removal, the developer has also removed the best marketing tool for a game that offers a multiplayer mode. He argues that it will come out as if the developer has also done away with the days “Halo” was the main reason one gets together with friends so they can play in one room altogether.
Despite mixed reactions towards the game’s launch, fans are still excited for the release of “Halo 5 Guardians” in October. For those who cannot wait for October, Gamespot reports that Microsoft will be setting up the Xbox Lounge during this year’s San Diego ComicCon 2015. Daily gaming tournaments with celebrities stopping by the lounge will occur during the event.
Halo fans are up for a treat at the event as Microsoft will also reveal a new Halo 5 Guardian Warzone mode map through a ‘6×6’ map built courtesy of MegaBlock.
