‘Halo 5: Guardians’ Multiplayer Beta Gets Overwhelming Response from Gamers!

343 Industries has released the multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians on December 31, 2014 to give gamers plenty to chew on while waiting for the release of its full version on the Xbox One towards the latter part of 2015.

It was obviously a strategy of the game developer to keep the fans busy while it works on the full version for an expected 2015 fourth quarter release.

One month and almost one week after the release of the multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians,” the people at Microsoft is grinning from ear to ear because of the overwhelming response of gamers to the first-person shooter video game.

Microsoft is obviously very happy with this development since the game will be exclusively release on Xbox One towards the end of the year.

Infographic and statistics

343 Industries has released the multiplayer beta statistics of “Halo 5: Guardians” and the infographics indicate that there have been 20 million matches played by gamers for over 2.5 million hours all in a span of 37 days, reports MCV.

According to the developer, the 20 million matches already amounted to 290 years worth of gameplay and 181 million of confirmed kills.

There are also other details in the infographics including total shots fired which is almost 6.5 million already, total assists at 92.3 million, among a host of other data.

Josh Holmes, executive producer of 343 Industries says that they are very happy and thrilled with the results because it means that the level of engagement of gamers and their response were way beyond the company’s expectations.

He also disclosed that the 343 Industries team is already in the process of going further deeper into the multiplayer beta’s data to create extensive improvements based on player feedback. These improvements include adjustments in rankings, weapons, abilities, and other mechanics.

A game within the game

The multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” has given gamers a lot of new stuff for them to chew on and really have fun playing the game.

Aside from a new game type (a game within the game), there is also two new maps and a new weapon.

While the new game type is already a deviation from the original Halo plotline and experience, the features and the excitement that it generated also gave gamers a fun and enjoyable experience

343 Industries will still add some more new features to the multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” that would sure keep gamers busy until the fourth quarter of 2015.

By the time the developer rolls out the full version of “Halo 5: Guardians,” the right amount of excitement and enthusiasm has been built up already and the fifth installment to the most beloved video game in Xbox history will be on its way to the top, the same way that its predecessors did.
