Halo 5: Forge is now available to gamers via PC, this week, which is now available for gamers to download and play for free. The game is free to play after downloading through the Windows 10 store as the Halo 5: Forge bundle.

Halo 5: Forge will be available to all PC users provided they have the Windows 10 Anniversary Update installed in their computers. The update for the game was also released alongside Xbox One. PC users don’t get the entire campaign of course. There are quite a few aspects of the game which are reserved for Xbox One users.

However, the gist of it is simply this, that whatever is still on offer for Windows 10 users are solid. Gamers will get full access to any forge levels created on Xbox One as well as Windows 10. There is proper keyboard and mouse support as well as the availability of host custom matches, for number of players as much as 16.

In fact, this particular bundle has got everything one can hope and expect from a Forge level builder, including everything that Forge has on Xbox One. This interface is very well suited for accessing with keyboard and mouse. Unlike one did usually in consoles, in this interface one can type in specific values and coordinates of certain elements in place of using sliders.

Through various forums and livestreams developers, from 434 Industries, have assured gamers about the introduction of a custom game browser to the game.  They have stated that the addition will be made to both the console as well as the versions available on PCs.

The developers also informed that it will provide identical functionality to what people have come to expect from a server browser. The net result of the news means that it will give players a place to convene when they are in the mood to do some Warthog burnouts in route to seizing the flag.

So, what this means for us is that Halo 5: Forge multiplayer is coming to Windows 10 and we won’t have to spend a penny. However, it won’t be as easy as what a proper matchmaking service will have allowed, and being lucky enough to be in the best geographical spot, means, that the actual number of modes one will be able to steadily find opponents playing, will probably be limited to the basics modes like Slayer, then CTF and so on.

Although, at the present moment, if you want a match of 16 players of Halo 5 for free, you’ll have to bring 15 friends and get everybody together in gatherings. But that will be made a lot easier after the server browser-like functionality is introduced, which will be rather soon hopefully.

Along with particulars on controls and visuals, Microsoft has provided players, in the new Halo 5, the authority to fashion maps and game modes. According to Halo Way Point, Halo 5: Forge, permits gamers to either tailor existing maps or create their own out of nothing, opening the gateways for Halo 5: Guardians, and other similar games.

Furthermore, Microsoft’s Halo map-making tool, which is free also, for Windows 10 lets players to create their own levels and battle their friends in online 16-player matches. Not just that, as per Digital Trends, it’s offered without pinching our pockets at all.

The publication, also says that players need to host or join already established lobbies, which will allow them to play with others. Multiplayer matchmaking is set for an unveiling in the future, as Windows 10 for the title, does not currently support the user’s ability to look for ongoing matches.
