The first shooter game involving spawned creatures and unique equipment make it one of the best-selling games even after 20 years of its release. With the constant tug on the expected new release, Valve should have come out with an update by now which has suddenly started to come through in small installments.
After much speculation, it is heard that the third version of Half Life might be in the making with VR support. Valve has already made its place in the virtual reality gaming trend by introducing their headset, HTC Vive early this year. This all the more confirms the fact that Valve might come out with the VR supportive version of the game soon.
The rumors of the game being in the works started due to a leaked file in DOTA 2. It has been reported that the game contains a file with the title “hl3.txt” which the fans took to mean an indication towards the Half-Life 3 release which was the go they needed. However, the developers aren’t sure if they would want to put the entire game on VR support as that is supposed to tire the gamers in a couple of minutes.
