Now that it’s official that Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence are back together again, Gwyneth Paltrow finally came out to dispel rumors that she does not approve of the “The Hunger Games” actress for her ex-husband.
The actress who played Pepper Potts in the three “Iron Man” movies made the disclosure on Howard Stern’s radio show on SiriusXM on January 14.
Gwyneth clarified reports that she is not in favor of Jennifer Lawrence for her ex-husband, saying that Chris Martin is the father of her two children and that it is his decision to be in a relationship. He added that Chris would not be in a relationship with a woman who is not great, details E! Online.
Paltrow said that her relationship with her ex-husband has been in good terms and that the two of them have already reached the level of being really good friends.
Always be a family
Chris and Gwyneth were married for 10 years before they decided to announce their separation in March 2014. Their union resulted in two offsprings.
Gwyneth says that they will always be a family even though she and Chris have already gone on separate ways. She even called their separation as “uncouple.”
The actress says that she always takes into account the positives in her past relationship with Chris to ensure that the future lives of their two children would have the less drama typical to those who have broken families.
While there are instances that they each don’t want to hang out with one another because they are already officially an ‘uncouple,’ they still have no choice but to do it especially for their kids. Gwyneth says it’s tough for the both of them but since they will always be family, they just do it for the spirit of showing to their kids that they can really have fun as a family.
Official breakup statement
The former couple also released an official statement after their split and it was even posted on Gwyneth’s lifestyle website.
The statement said that Gwyneth and Chris felt sad that they have to separate. They explained that while they have tried for over a year to keep it together and make the relationship work, they have come to the decision to separate, amid their supposed continuing love for one another.
Also during the same radio interview on the Howard Stern radio show, Gwyneth also talked about her other past relationships including high-profile actors Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.
The 42-year-old actress said that her relationship with Brad Pitt did not last despite her being so much in love with the “Fury” actor because she was still too young then.
She said only a few things about Ben Affleck hinting that when they became a couple, Ben was just not ready to have a girlfriend in his life.
