Meanwhile, we’re hearing rumors that the film could feature a more emotional plot than the previous one, focusing on the reunion between Peter Quill and his father. We’re also going to see his internal struggles after he meets with his dad.
Drax the destroyer, who’s played by Dave Bautista, will likely finally show us his true power in this film as well, after we saw him grieving and trying to kill Ronan at all cost in the first film. He then withdrew from the conflict and did his best to maintain a neutral stance, but we don’t know if he’ll be able to do that for much longer.
It’s possible that in the upcoming film, we’re going to see a much more dramatic and serious side of him, one that we haven’t seen before. He could even feel like a new character altogether, according to some reports, as he unleashes his full capabilities.
There is still quite a lot of time to go until the film is ready – the current plan is to have it out on May 5, 2017. That leaves plenty of time for fans to discuss the identity of Star-Lord’s father, as well as other plot details that have been of particular interest to the film’s fan base. And of course, there’s also plenty of time for the producers to give us some more hints.
