It is not just the capability to enable 30 players to play the multiplayer version of the game online that has been catching attention on the upcoming release of “Grand Theft Auto V” on the PC, finally rolling out on April 14.
The latest version of the open-world action-adventure game is expected to bring with it higher graphics quality, more control for gamers, and the potential for mods, notes Bleeding Cool.
However, one of the latest and coolest new features of “Grand Theft Auto V” on the PC is its Director Mode that allows players and gamers to save sections of their play from all the wild and crazy actions that they got themselves into while in Los Santos.
It is not just a typical video footage or clip saving though, it also comes with a video editor which allows players to have that absurd level of manipulation they can ever think of on their saved footage.
Significant improvements
No less than John Macpherson or Rockstar Toronto confirmed the capability of the video editor feature of the Director Mode of the “GTA V” on the PC.
The feature also comes with significant improvements beginning at the video recording level, where gamers now have the choice to start and stop their video captures at will.
Macpherson added that Rockstar has added the Director Mode to enable users the ability to play and record a video using any actor from “GTA V” including story and heist crew characters, members of the ordinary population and also the animals in the video game.
More than the capability to capture and save videos at any point in the game, players can also do some editing on those save videos like a typical film director, thus the name Director Mode.
With the Director Mode, it is now possible with “GTA V” to add and reduce multiple radio tracks to a single video. Musical scoring is now available and also numerous in-game commercial recordings, giving players a video library to do their creative video editing.
There is also a new suite of custom filters that also comes with custom post effects tuning. Players can now be creative and customize the depth of field effects on their videos, which was not possible before.
Picture editing is also available especially with the addition of targeting and blend options for greater control over shots. The final video output by the players can also be shared directly to YouTube and perhaps be made as entry into possible Social Club contests in the future.
Contextual actions
There are still many adjustments or modifications that players can do with the Director Mode. They can change the time of day, the weather, as well as enable other characters and animals in the video game do some contextual actions, making them look like the directors of the game.
Because of these game manipulative features, Director Mode has instantly become one of the most-anticipated features of the “GTA V” on the PC and gamers can hardly wait.
