When Rockstar Games announced the latest round of delay on the release of “Grand Theft Auto V” on the PC on January 27, gamers were once again dismayed for two major reasons.
The first reason has something to do with the much-awaited and long overdue Heists DLC for “GTA Online” that was long promised by Rockstar when it launched “GTA 5” on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in October 2013. The developer promised the new content will roll off simultaneously with the launching of “GTA 5” on the PC. As it turned out, the developer did not keep its promise.
The second reason, on the other hand, has something to do with the fact that many gamers have been excited by the idea that the “GTA 5” roll out on the PC would also enable as much as 30 players to play the multiplayer mode “GTA Online” all in one time.
So when the launching of the game on the PC was pushed back to March 24, it cut short their excitement to finally have the opportunity to try out “GTA Online” with a full complement of 30 players.
Possible too on next-gen gaming consoles
With the second reason in mind, Rockstar has announced that playing “GTA Online” for 30 players simultaneously on the next-gen gaming consoles – the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 – is possible. But each participating player needs to have their respective gaming console.
VG 24/7 reported that Rockstar recently posted a tutorial of sort for gamers so that they can edit the game’s Load Creation menu on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to be able to support 30 players.
Rockstar said that when the Load Creation menu is selected, gamers will be able to access previously published Jobs and they can edit it to suit their wish. In the same manner, gamers can also increase the Maximum Players races through the Race Details menu.
In increasing the maximum number of players in the Deathmatches and Capture Jobs, the user is required to increase the number of Team Start Points and Spawn Points in the Placement menu for the Jobs to work.
Word of caution
Amid the posting of the tutorial for GTA gamers on the next-gen gaming consoles, Rockstar said that it’s important for gamers to re-test the Job once changes have been made and in place.
Apparently, the increased player count shall greatly affect the dynamics and feel of the Job as some of the new features of the Xbox One and PS4 versions of “GTA Online” may impact the experience in several unimaginable ways and manners.
The tutorial from Rockstar also discussed the process of Balancing in Last Team Standing (LTS) Jobs, selecting the number of rounds, Play Area Bounds, LTS Update, and several other relevant topics.
