The longest that Rockstar Games made gamers wait is the Online Heists DLC for the multiplayer feature of the game. It actually took the game developer 523 days or almost one year and a half from the time it announced the DLC to gamers up to the time it finally released it to the gaming world.
But the wait was well worth it as the Online Heist DLC became an instant hit and gamers can hardly get enough of the fun and excitement it brought forth.
With the latest twist on the news about the “GTA 6,” the two-year difference seems rather absurd so unless Rockstar Games issue a statement or announcement to either confirm or deny this rumored timeline for the release of its upcoming game, everything with regards to the issue should be taken with a raised eyebrow.
When a developer comes up with a game that is considered as one of the most successful video games in history, any subsequent sequel or installment thereafter is under pressure to match if not surpass its predecessor.
Anything less may actually mean putting an end to the franchise. That is precisely the situation for the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto 6” although the pressure is not actually on the game but on the developer who is responsible for the development of the game.
