There is a new addition to the rumors about the upcoming open world action-adventure video game “Grand Theft Auto 6.”
Other than the game’s possible release date, new characters, new maps, new weapons, new features, and plotlines, there is now word that Rockstar has already decided on what music to be featured in the game.
The source of the information is named Paula Reed who claims to be involved with the development of the game over at Rockstar. Reed said that Rockstar has expressed interest in featuring the widely popular song ‘Kakai’ in GTA’s latest installment, reports N4BB.
‘Kakai’ is a song by Shatta Wale and it is very popular not just among African-American communities in the US but all around the world.
The hit song has made an immediate impact through the different dance charts all over the world and Rockstar is reportedly impressed with the song and is now looking at the inclusion of the music on “GTA 6.”
Assuming the report is true and Rockstar indeed works out a deal with Shatta Wale and his record company, players of “GTA 6” would be able to hear “Kakai” every time they are onboard a vehicle in the highly-anticipated sixth installment of the very successful and popular “GTA” franchise.
Incorporating new elements
Given the success of its predecessor games, particularly “GTA 5,” the upcoming “GTA 6,” regardless of release date and the type of gaming consoles that it will come out to, is expected to be a success as well.
It has been the tradition of game developer Rockstar to raise the ante in each game of the series and it is expected that when “GTA 6” finally comes out, it would also become a multi-billion dollar video game.
While it is a challenge for most game developers to get their product become part of mainstream entertainment, Rockstar does not have to deal with such problem for the “GTA” franchise and would certainly have no such issues with “GTA 6.”
However, it is imperative for Rockstar to usher in new elements to the game in order to keep the gamer excitement and enthusiasm at its usual high.
The “GTA” games have always possessed extremely earthly elements. In fact, earlier releases in the series were also notable for wild and humorous aspects, particularly the “GTA: San Andreas” which saw players infiltrating a military base resembling the Area 51 just to steal a jetpack.
The game is in fact considered by many gamers as the ultimate “GTA” title because of the sheer variety of missions, locations, and the depth of the imagination that went into the title, notes ValueWalk.
Over the years, some of the anarchic spirits of the “GTA” video game series have been toned down, if not completely eliminated, particularly in the most recent “GTA 5.”
Not concern with grounded realism
However, with “GTA 6,” Rockstar may consider widening the scope of what players can do and is no longer concern so much about the grounded realism that was a major feature of “GTA 5.”
Multiple protagonists have not been a cup of tea for the GTA franchise. But since “GTA 2,” each game has featured a set of protagonist around whom the story centers.
But it got mixed up with the release of “GTA 5” in October 2013 as it featured three protagonists, namely Michael, Franklin, and Trevor.
While gamers were a bit skeptical about multiple protagonists in “GTA 5,” the game eventually turned out to be a huge success. However, some gamers still believe that the use of three playable characters diminished the game’s plot.
