One of the things fans have been requesting from Rockstar for the next installment in the franchise is a deeper look at the game’s multiplayer. “GTA 5” was the first game to officially include this feature, and it was received quite well by most players, although it also had various issues that had to be taken care of after the release.
It didn’t help that some features were outright missing as Rockstar were hurrying to meet their deadlines, but this is just another example of the studio’s slow development pace and their general approach to their work.
In any case, the rumors about the game’s release date put it at some point between 2018 and 2020. We would say that 2020 sounds like a far more plausible option, given the difference between the last two installments.
But a lot can happen over the years, and Rockstar could even figure out how to address their internal issues with their scheduling and pick up the pace at some point. The studio has a lot of creative talent, and if they can bring some order to their development plans, they could easily put out even more amazing titles over a relatively short period of time, further solidifying their position on the market.
