When a developer comes up with a game that is considered as one of the most successful video games in history, any subsequent sequel or installment thereafter is under pressure to match if not surpass its predecessor.
Anything less may actually mean putting an end to the franchise. That is precisely the situation for the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto 6” although the pressure is not actually on the game but on the developer who is responsible for the development of the game.
Because of the immense success of “Grand Theft Auto 5” both on the last generation gaming consoles when it was released in October 2013 and the current generation gaming consoles rolled out one year later, the pressure is on Rockstar Games to come up with something big for “GTA 6.”
Given the superb credentials of Rockstar Games, it seems that the developer is quite confident that it can deliver on the promise of the “GTA 6.”
Even this early, many believe that the “GTA 6” will hit the retail markets anytime from 2018 to 2020, which gives Rockstar Games more than enough time to ensure the quality, excellence, and superb features of the video game upon its official roll out, notes GTA 6 GrandTheftAuto.com.
Celebrity couple leads
It was previously reported that the earliest that Rockstar Games could make an announcement of a major reveal on the sixth installment of its highly successful open-world action adventure video game franchise “Grand Theft Auto” is on 2018 or about five years from the launch of the “Grand Theft Auto 5” on the last generation gaming consoles back in 2013.
However, there are now rumors going around that Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling would play the lead on the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto 6” along with a female character.
The latest speculation is rather surprising and it appears that the rumors do not have legs to stand on because neither Rockstar Games nor Ryan Gosling himself has made any statement, tease, insinuation or hint that the latter would be involved in the next installment of arguably the most successful video game franchise in history.
But the female character report has long been in the rumor mill so the only thing new in the report is the involvement of the partner of Eva Mendes to the project, notes Youth Health Mag.
For the purpose of merely dissecting the latest rumors, Ryan Gosling will be a good addition to the video game as a voice actor, or perhaps lending his face to the lead character. He is good at playing a law-breaker in some of his movies so doing playing an important part in “GTA 6” would further add to his great reputation as a well-rounded actor.
Staggering earning
The claim to greatness of the “Grand Theft Auto” video game franchise can be attested by the fact that when “Grand Theft Auto V” was launched in the last generation gaming consoles, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, back in 2013, it made a staggering earning of $1 billion merely three days after its official launch.
It was just so much of a mouth-watering earning that Rockstar Games was left with no choice, or to put in a nice way, inspired, to think about the development of its next sequel, the “Grand Theft Auto 6.”
As they say in sports as in video games, winners do not quit and quitters do not win. Rockstar is adhering to that mantra in an attempt to come up with another big bang for the franchise.
However, given the immense success of “GTA 5,” the pressure is now also on the developer to really come up with something great for the fans and gamers. The developer cannot simply come up with something just to say that a sequel has been made for the most profitable video game of all time.

The first thing Rockstar should do is get rid of Social Club (DRM) and actually fix the mess that is GTA 5, before they even think about GTA 6.
Until they make GTA 5 a working product, fit for purpose, I certainly won’t buy any further games from Rockstar. The PC release has been utterly crippled with problems.
Yeh gta and rockstar just get better. Nothing wrong with gta5 on ps3 and there’s nothing wrong with gta5 on ps4. Pc just sucks donkey balls. Pc master race
……bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahah
“Pc just sucks donkey balls.” – Sophie cross, grow up, get a life and stop acting like a little console fanboy. I played GTAV on console, but i prefer to play this game on my PC (just like any other 3D and HD era GTA) because of mods, 60 FPS and aiming with the mouse, plus my personal taste.
