GTA 6 Progress Is Basically Nonexistent at the Moment, but Rockstar Haven’t Given Up on the Game, Reports Claim!

Modding has always been a huge part of the “GTA” franchise, and it’s one of the main factors that allow these games to stay relevant for so long after their initial release. We don’t expect that the developers are going to turn their back on something which brings them so much benefit, in the least.

We also don’t know how the market could change over the next few years either though, and it’s possible that there might be a sudden significant shift towards a non-PC platform. And of course, we would fully expect Rockstar to go with the flow and reap all the benefits of that platform, if this did happen.

Last but not least, some suspect that the studio might intentionally delay the release of the game to build up even more hype about it.

We wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to go for something like that, but at the same time, they should probably be careful with this idea as well, knowing how badly it can turn out if it’s not done properly. It can actually potentially ruin the reputation of the whole franchise.

There are several infamous examples in the industry, such as “Duke Nukem Forever”. Even “Half-Life 3” has reached this stage, according to some of Valve’s fans, as it’s become impossible for the studio to release a game that will justify the long waiting time at this point. Of course, we never know what the near future holds for us.
