While most of the hungry PC gamers out there are waiting to see if they can get Grand Theft Auto V on the PC, there is good news that created a little bit of buzz this week. That good news came by way of Rockstar Games, the company behind the very popular video game series, when they announced that it would be developing a sixth installment to the series. GTA 6 is in the works and according to sources, will be expected for consoles in the next year or so.
The Grand Theft Auto video game series started back in October 1997 and has grown to be one of the highest selling video game franchises in history. Back in 1997, the game was available for the Playstation and even though the sales numbers are not available for that version, they were right near the top according to some reports. Overall, the series has sold more than 150 million copies of the games all over the world, with the most popular being Grand Theft Auto IV, which hit more than 25 million copies cold.
With the advancement of technology used to create the games, release dates are a little further between compared to back in the late 1990’s. From 1997 to 2007, the developers released 5 titles, however, since then, gamers have only been able to enjoy 2 titles, with the sixth set to arrive at some point. Just like with all of the other games, there are plenty of questions that the gamers will have until Rockstar Games reveals the information in the coming months.
Just like with the graphics and gameplay advancing, other aspects of the video game have also expanded. Rather than only being available for one or two platforms, you can find the game on just about any platform that is available at the store today. If you are away from home, you are also able to get hooked up with GTA on your mobile device through the Android or iOS applications.
With the news that GTA 6 is going to be developed, questions like where the game will be set are popping up online. Once you find the location, the missions are laid out and then a map is made up to bring the entire story together. The flow of a video game like Grand Theft Auto is a lot different than a game from the 1990’s. The odds are good that it will be available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and the Windows PC at least. Mobile application versions would be sure to follow.
I’m done waiting for GTA V for PC and I’m completely uninterested now. If GTA VI is released the same way, I’ll be completely uninterested in it as well.

LMFAO!!! Right…now for a reality check. Delays! Delays! Delays! Will get this game in 2018. If we’re lucky. Probably near Christmas, but expect another delay. Early 2019.
There hasn’t been an announcement and there is no way it’s coming out next year. I wish it was but this is just a rumor.
its a biggest news for me because I’m a GTA fan and I have completed all the GTA games and when I heard that GTA 6 may be release next year then that’s awesome and I have to say that rockstar studios have already made GTA remastered version for ps4 and Xbox one and still they are making PC version then I have to say that they work so hard and they have to work so hard to make GTA 6 if its possible to release next year
