GTA 6 Gameplay, Release Date Rumors: Possible Development of Red Dead Redemption 2!

The success of GTA 5 has given rise to speculations that we may soon get to see a sixth installment in the GTA franchise. It was initially released by Rockstar Games for the older generation consoles, namely the Xbox 360 and PS3. Recently, it was released on the current generation PS4 and Xbox One while the PC release will take place on January 2015.

However, according to several rumors on the internet, the makers are already planning a sixth installment in the franchise in the form of GTA 6. Speculations indicate that the game might release by 2017. Leslie Benzies, the president of Rockstar Games declared that the development of GTA 6 could be pushed back as the company decides to progress on its various other projects.

These involve many different franchises, especially GTA Online. According to her, GTA Online is currently the primary focus for Rockstar Games. There is no rest between the completion of GTA 5 and GTA Online. Presently, there are numerous other projects that they are dealing with like DLC and updates among others. The developers surely have a lot on their plates. At the same time, Benzies has not rejected the idea for a sequel as well. She said that the developers are sitting on 45 years’ worth of ideas that they can use in GTA 6.

She continued that the developers are not aware as to what GTA 6 finally will be, but they do have a lot of plans for it. Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games, teased out the idea that the next title could be a whole lot different from its predecessor. He said that presently the franchise has been all about English speaking, contemporary Americana aspects.

However, things could be quite different in the future if the decide to break the limits of the traditional GTA franchise. His remarks sparked a lot of rumors regarding a different country setting altogether. In the meantime, according to Motoring Crunch, the developers are working on a sequel for one of their popular titles. This announcement has led gamers to believe that Rockstar is presently working on a sequel for Red Dead Redemption, the second bestselling title of the company.

Other less popular options include games like that of Bully and Manhunt. Rumors regarding the possible development of Red Dead Redemption 2 started when Feinstein indicated that he was currently working on a sequel to another famed Rockstar title.

Gamers believe that the release of this game will bring to the next-gen consoles like PS4, Xbox One and Online. It is hopefully, the same direction that GTA 6 will follow. The company hasn’t released any official statement yet but if rumors are true, RDR 2 could be released as early as November 2015.
