Like many rumored games that were expected to make a big splash at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 held last week at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California, the rumored announcement on “Grand Theft Auto 6” did not happen in the event.
Instead of launching the open world Western action-adventure game “Red Dead Redemption 2,” American game developer Rockstar Games decided to be discreet during the event.
There were also rumors saying that Rockstar would also provide gamers and event participants an official update regarding the development of “GTA 6,” but the developer announced instead the upcoming DLC pack for its current game, the “Grand Theft Auto 5,” reports the Christian Times.
Despite not saying anything at all about “GTA 6” at the E3 2016, some gamers and critics are still confident that Rockstar would soon be providing more concrete information on the highly-anticipated “GTA 6.”
‘GTA 6’ official trailer release date
There are also rumors going around these days saying that a “GTA 6” official trailer is likely to drop next year but since Rockstar Games has yet to confirm or deny it, this information should be taken with a fine grain of salt, notes N4BB.
But some rumors are saying that the trailer for “GTA 6” could actually be released later this year.
However, since Rockstar Games has yet to officially confirm “GTA 6” at this time, having a trailer would seem a little absurd if that would be the case.
But if the developer makes an announcement about “GTA 6” anytime soon, then a likely new trailer would drop sooner than later.
It has been previously reported that “GTA 6” would most likely come out in the gaming consoles in 2018 which is barely two years from now so Rockstar should be doing some kind of initial promotions by this time or maybe sooner.
The possible game locations
Until last month, the rumors about “Grand Theft Auto 6” are saying that the game would have the entire US for its gameplay map.
However, subsequent rumors seem to suggest that it is not going to be the case as there were even speculations saying that the game could be set in London or in Tokyo, Japan.
Lately, there are reports saying that the upcoming sixth installment of the successful video game franchise could actually take place in San Fierro or Las Venturas or both in order to complete the San Andreas territories not found in “GTA 5.”
According to the same reports, the two locations were not included by Rockstar Games in “GTA 5” during its release late in 2013 because of console limitations and resource allocation. As a result, only the Los Santos and surrounding Blaine County were featured in “GTA 5.”
Many fans and gamers of “GTA 5” expressed their thoughts that they have missed San Fierro and Las Venturas in the current iteration of the highly successful video game.
Among the past locations of the “GTA” games, Vice City was one of the most popular and many fans are salivating at the possibility of a return to the location that was patterned after Miami, Florida.
However, just like previous reports about the possible location of “GTA 6,” these are mere speculations pending the confirmation from Rockstar Games.
The 2018 release date is based on the five-year gap trend of Rockstar Games when it comes to launching their “GTA” games. “GTA 4” was released in 2008 while “GTA 5” came out in 2013. As such, it is not surprising if fans , gamers, and critics all believe that “GTA 6” will indeed come out in 2018.
There are also speculations saying that the game shall come out at the time of the release of the next generation of gaming platforms from Sony and Microsoft in the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Two, respectively.
