There is still a long time to go before “GTA 6” arrives, or is even talked about officially by Rockstar, so we’re probably going to see a lot more speculation about it until then and we wouldn’t be surprised if the rumors about the game became even more outrageous and unusual.
That’s just part of the life cycle of a game nowadays though, as fans love to speculate and this is one of their favorite pastimes to fill up the time before a new game is released.
And with the advance of the Internet into the gaming community and our everyday lives, these discussions have become even more active and prominent, as it’s much easier for someone to get their voice heard nowadays and to share their opinions on their favorite franchise.
Some smarter developers have quickly noticed that and have been using it to their advantage, and we’ve seen various games that have been driven primarily by the opinions of their fans. Sometimes this works out quite nicely, but of course a developer must always exercise their own creative direction in order to truly drive a franchise forward. When these two factors are combined correctly, gaming series evolve in the exact way that their fans want to see, and we end up with the games that we then refer to as “true classics”.
