Even though “GTA 5” has been out for quite some time already, and the online component has been around for a while too, Rockstar are still determined to keep working hard on the game and are producing new content for it. Just recently, we saw the release of a new update for the online mode, which added a brand new racing mode, as well as a new bike for players to zoom around in.
The mode is inspired by “Tron”, and features bikes with a design similar to the iconic light cycles from the sci-fi film. The rules are similar as well, as players have to avoid the light trail emitted by the bikes of their opponents as they race around.
Players have been quite impressed with what the new mode brings to the table, and it seems to blend perfectly with the overall hectic gameplay of the game itself. Rockstar have added various extra features to the races to spice up the experience as well, such as powerups and special abilities that can be used by riders.
The company obviously knows how to keep interest in their games at high levels too, as they’ve decided to run a special promotion offering gamers double RP and in-game money until November 21 as an incentive for players to check out the new gameplay mode.
This seems to have been an effective move too, as the game’s player numbers shot up immediately after the update was released. Looking at what fans have been saying about the new mode too, we suspect that the numbers will remain consistently high for quite a while in the near future.
Everyone has been having a lot of fun with the Deadline mode, and many players have been requesting more of the same from Rockstar as a result. It took a while for the studio to figure out exactly what kind of content players of “GTA 5” want to see in the DLCs released for the game, but now that they’ve nailed the basic concept, they’ve been able to make some fantastic releases.
Initially, the DLC we saw was a bit more grounded and in line with the overall theme of the game. It didn’t take long for Rockstar to start exploring other directions though, getting progressively crazier and crazier with the concepts. The latest release of the Deadline mode was a major step in that direction, and we’re curious to see what else could be coming up in the future.
Running out of ideas should never be a problem for Rockstar, at least not right now, as fans have tons of requests for what they want to see added to the game next. Of course, some of those ideas don’t make that much sense in light of the game’s theme, but they might still serve as a nice inspiration for what Rockstar could add next.
Some have also been curious if the current DLCs that are coming out for “GTA 5” could indicate what the studio is planning to do in the next game in the franchise.
While many agree that it’s probably far too early to talk about “GTA 6” right now, there has been no shortage of rumors and discussions about that game within the community. Players have various ideas for what they want to see introduced to the franchise next, and some of the things we’ve seen in the DLCs could make great additions to “GTA 6”, according to some fans.
