Rockstar have been putting a lot of work into “GTA 5” and its online mode since the game was launched, and the title has been getting better and better. There are still some quirks to iron out, but for the most part, it’s a balanced and well-rounded experience. However, it’s not perfect, and the main problem is that occasionally, some rather serious bugs pop up that have the potential to ruin the fun for everyone.
The most common issue of this type are money glitches – exploits that allow players to quickly obtain large amounts of money outside of the designed ways. There are certain methods that allow players to get money faster than normal, but then there are also some clear exploits of the system. Rockstar usually close those loopholes eventually and don’t leave them running for too long, however they normally can’t do much about players who have already profited from the exploit and have acquired some illegitimate money.
The newly revealed exploit involves tricky selling of cars, and requires players to start with nine cars in their garage, including the “Dupe Car” that they want to copy. The player must also have an insurance option purchased, and then the glitch revolves around using the insurance interface in unintended ways while driving up to the garage door.
If everything is executed successfully, players can keep cloning their cars and selling them for profit, eventually earning a lot of money, especially if this is done with one of the more valuable models on the market.
Meanwhile, Rockstar have been hard at work producing new content for the game, namely the “Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2” DLC, which brought new vehicles, weapons, clothes and more goodies to the game. The overall quality of the online experience has been improving significantly, and while it started out as an experimental mode, it’s now pretty much the main attraction of the game for many players.
There is a rumored single player DLC coming soon too, but we have no details on that, other than some videos on YouTube that allegedly show an insight into the new content. We don’t know when it’s supposed to be released, but it’s possible that Rockstar might announce the official release date as early as next week.
There will also be an “Ill-Gotten Gains Part 3” in all likelihood, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. The game might eventually include features such as Stunt Race or a Stunt Arena, something which is reported to already be in the game in some form.
It’s actually no secret that “GTA 5” is full of random unimplemented content, some of which was left over from previous developments on the game, while other things are hints about upcoming features that haven’t been completed yet.
Rockstar have been quite active in communicating with their community whenever it makes sense too, and the studio is definitely very responsible when it comes to keeping their fans up to date with their plans about the game. They seem to have a lot prepared for the next months, and it looks like they aren’t planning to let “GTA 5” die down anytime soon.
Which is good, because the game clearly has a lot of potential that is yet to be realized, and Rockstar can only do that by exploring their options through additional updates and new content releases over time. Trying out what works and doesn’t work is the best way to ensure that “GTA 6” will have even more amazing gameplay.
