GTA 5 Online Gives Gamers the Opportunity to Earn Double Reward Points and In-Game Cash in New Events

The online multiplayer heist game “GTA 5 Online” continues to be a top draw among video gamers even though the game has been around for close to two years already.

And it looks like more players will be playing it until September 1 as “GTA 5 Online” is giving gamers the opportunity to earn double reward points and in-game cash especially if they compete in Freemode events, reports VG 24/7.

In addition, the Freemode events shall also bring a new round of price promotions and discounts on special items that most gamers would really take advantage of.

Instead of the previous 48 minutes interval for Freemode events on “GTA 5 Online,” the current offer will see the events happening every five minutes which gives the gamers plenty of opportunities to pile up on those reward points and in-game cash.

American game developer Rockstar Games announced the Freemode Event Week on “GTA 5 Online” will run from August 26 to September 1 or a total of seven days.

Freemode events include Hunt the Beast, multiple races with specific criteria like driving backward, and other wacky stuff.

Major discounts on vehicles and weapons

The “GTA 5 Online” Freemode Events offer a wide spectrum of on-the-spot games to earn money from. It also offers major discounts on selected vehicles, vehicle mods, as well as weapons and accessories.

The Vapid FMJ vehicle gets a 25% percent discount on its price while the upgrades for the Karin Sultan RS get 50% off at Benny’s Original Motor Works, notes iDigital Times.

Car bombs also get 50% off during the duration of the seven-day promo while resprays get a 25% cut.

Several weapons in the game shall also be up for grabs with major price cuts. Rifles get 25% off at Ammu-Nation while body armor and pistols will each have 50% discount.

Luxury weapon finishes from the Ill-Gotten Gains and Executives and Other Criminals updates shall also be given a 50% price cut.

A stunt race

In addition to the major discounts on vehicles and weapons on “GTA 5 Online,” the Freemode Event Week shall also feature a new Rally premium stunt race.

Rally is actually a point-to-point sprint along Grand Senora and pays out $100,000 GTA in-game cash for the first placer, $30,000 for the second placer, and $20,000 for the third placer. When the Rally race is set to sports vehicles only, competitors will be awarded triple reward points.

Payouts for various Freemode events differ but Criminal Damage usually gives the biggest payouts and also the most fun too.

According to GTA 5 YouTuber MrBossFTW, renowned tipster FunMW2 shared on the GTA Forum that a change has been made to Freemode following the event week that enables a new event to appear every five minutes instead of 48 minutes. However, once the event week is over, then the new events will only appear every 30 minutes.

Although it is not a sure-fire event to capitalize on payouts, it is clear that frequency makes quantity and players should better take advantage of the rapid pace of the new Freemode Events Week.

Meanwhile, Patch 1.35 has been released by Rockstar for “GTA 5 Online” a few weeks ago and it brought a glitch that is working to the advantage of gamers.

YouTuber Rover Gaming posted online a glitch video claiming that players would be able to make $3,000 in GTA in-game cash in a matter of 20 seconds.

However, Rover Gaming explained that gamers need to make several steps to make it happen. They will have to head to the store that is marked in the video. They have to make sure that in the Interaction Menu, the Spawn Location is set to Last Location and they should also equip the character with a machine gun.
