The Sasquatch Peyote is a fascinating secret of the online multiplayer version of the open-world action adventure “Grand Theft Auto 5” because it allows gamers to transform into Bigfoot.
Bigfoot is an ape-like creature that is said to inhabit forests. It is a large and hairy bipedal humanoid which is often referred to as Sasquatch, an Anglicized derivative of the Halkomelem word sasq’ets.
In gaming, secrets like these are called the game’s Easter Eggs and Bigfoot is sure one big Easter Egg giving “GTA 5 Online” gamers a real big treat.
The secret was recently revealed by an obviously avid GTA gamer on Reddit who announced his discovery in the public gaming forum, details the Australian News Network.
The gamer had the name of rKRusty in the Reddit forum and he mentioned of the complex conditions that players need to do or meet to find the mysterious Sasquatch Peyote button in “GTA 5 Online” that will trigger the transformation of the gamers to Bigfoot.
Accordingly, the peyote buttons need to be found first before the golden Sasquatch button will appear. But the golden Sasquatch button can only be found on Tuesday between 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. with either foggy conditions on the PC or snow on the gaming consoles.
The playable character needs to eat the button and will cause him hallucination and he will transform to the legendary Bigfoot.
Fake Rockstar employee
There is a fake Rockstar Games employee capitalizing on the popularity of the game by working to steal players’ money.
One “GTA 5 Online” YouTuber shared how he was asked to pay $250 on PayPal to avoid facing legal charges and his YouTube channel suspended. The fake employee claims that he holds the copyright for the Rockstar material.
Another YouTuber MalwareBytes Unpacked, who is a “GTA 5 Online” fanatic, issued a warning to GTA gamers regarding sites claiming to offer huge and ridiculous amounts of money by going through some simple steps. Once the players get attracted to the money lure, they will enter their username into the box, but everything else will be in vain. Accordingly, the site is but a joke, details the Christian Post.
A similar website also does the same but it really has nothing to offer except spamming a website to friends, loads of surveys, and the occasional download of some software that really has nothing to do with the game.
Changing the gender of the playable character
Game developer Rockstar recently hinted that the next update to “GTA 5 Online” will come with the highly awaited Rockstar Editor where players can customize a lot of the features of the game. However, there is still no definite date as to when exactly will the update come. According to avid “GTA 5 Online” gamers, it is possible that the next update to the online multiplayer version of “GTA 5” will happen in September.
But Rockstar Games is adamant about its own timeline and release schedule, leaving so-called game experts and leakers to speculations all over again, which have become the norm for every update coming from the New York-based game developer.
According to “GTA 5 Online” expert and YouTuber DomisLive, Rockstar is gearing up for a new content release based on a new folder called ‘DLCPacks4’ he found on the Rockstar Games sever.
Another leaker named funmws, on the other hand, said that the next update to “GTA 5 Online” will enable players to change the sex of their character from either male to female or from female to male.
With the Rockstar Editor, players can now undertake plastic or cosmetic surgery to change the appearances or undergo gender changes for their main playable characters in “GTA 5 Online.”
It has also been confirmed that Rockstar support agents might offer the option to interested “GTA 5 Online” gamers through special forum requests.
