Grimm is scheduled to return for its final season on the 6th of January next year. Rumors are still making rounds that there will also be a season 7 after this adding to David Giuntoli’s directorial debut this season. David is also hopeful that this will not be the end of the show for him to direct further.
However, the network has already announced its cancellation after this season. The fans still hope that is not here; Nick Burkhardt will carry his dark adventures on somewhere else. Fans have gone ahead with a petition wherein they are requesting Netflix to pick up the series and the support for these petitions has been high. Another petition that is doing the rounds is requesting NBC to add more episodes to this installment or let the series continue further.
News was out that the production of the first episode of season 6 had started way back in August and the title of the episode was “Fugitive.” The episode holds Nick as a fugitive. Given his history as a Grimm himself, he is shown to be running away from that realization. This season is also expected to finish all the incomplete stories from the previous seasons and give their fans the answers to every question that has been left unanswered.
The 6th season is also about to bring the love triangle between Nick, Eve and Juliette into the limelight. The episodes will go on to unravel how the women take over each other’s personality. Nick will also be shown choosing the personality that he wants to be with.
Considering the fact that he mentions that the personality he wants to be with is the one that wouldn’t make his life difficult, it is clearly hinted that the choice will have to be between Eve and Juliette. The question that remains is how he will decipher which one is the best choice for him.
This season is expected to unravel many storylines and explore many tangents with babies also being born. Rosalee is shown to be expecting a baby, but it is not a complete happy situation for her and Monroe as it is shown that they are about to face real danger which might just be around the corner. Nothing has been revealed about what is going to happen.
The cast and crew that have spent long hours together working on this script are dreading the last few days. They’ve expressed that it is not going to be easy to big such a grand setup a final goodbye. But the fact that they got a chance to carry it to its final grand bow is what they consider themselves privileged about.
The 6th season is reported to have 13 episodes as compared to the other seasons that crossed 20 episodes on an average. To add to this, Bree Turner and Claire Coffee have shared images on Instagram declaring that they are already at the third to last episode of the series. They have also expressed that has been an emotional process to be reaching the end so soon.
The IMdb page for this season of Grimm lists the title of the episode under production currently as “Where the Wild Things Were.” The name of the last two episodes is yet to be revealed, but the finale will be aired on March 31, 2017, for sure.
